My Story

I have been a pediatric occupational therapist for over 25 years. I have always been passionate about working with kids and their families/caregivers. In 2015, we became a foster family.  Through that journey, our family learned a lot about relationships.  My husband and I attended a TBRI (Trust-Based Relational Intervention) training and we were changed forever as parents. We continue to attend TBRI workshops annually through Show Hope.

This quickly carried over into my work and "meeting the need(s) behind the behavior" became my priority.  

The goal of my practice is to help meet the needs of the kiddos as well as support and educate the families and caregivers in how to meet their kids needs.  Working with children and their families in their homes allows a clearer understanding of the daily routines, strengths and struggles.  It allows for training and teaching in the enviornment where the family spends most of their time.  

At the core of my work is investment in families and their relationships.  From that foundation I work to build skills including regulation, sensory processing, motor skills, coordination and overall functional independence.
